Request ShipStation

About the ShipStation integration

ShipStation is shipping software that ecommerce sellers use to import orders, buy labels and track shipments across carriers. The Unify Inventory API reads its orders, shipments, products, stores and warehouses.

ShipStation's API uses an API key and secret, with webhooks for new orders and shipments. Unify Int maps orders, shipments with tracking and label costs, fulfillments, products, stores and warehouses to the Unify Graph.

Why build ShipStation on Unify Int

  • One data model

ShipStation records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize ShipStation. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map ShipStation custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every ShipStation connection, so support can see what happened.

ShipStation integration questions

Does Unify Int support ShipStation products and warehouses?
ShipStation is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading products, warehouses, orders and shipments, with write-back for products and shipments to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their ShipStation account?
Your customer generates an API key and secret in ShipStation settings and enters them in Unify Connect.
Is there a ShipStation sandbox for testing?
ShipStation has no separate sandbox; testing uses a trial account with test orders.
How often does ShipStation data sync?
Unify Sync uses ShipStation webhooks for change detection, so new and updated records usually arrive within minutes, with scheduled polling as a safety net. You can set the schedule per object.
Can I access ShipStation custom fields?
ShipStation custom fields (customField1–3) and tags on orders can be mapped per connection.
