About the Akeneo integration

Akeneo is a product information management (PIM) platform that brands and retailers use to enrich and syndicate product data. The Unify Catalog API reads its products, attributes, categories and assets.

Akeneo PIM exposes a REST API with OAuth 2.0 connections, and the Akeneo Event Platform for product change events. The Unify Catalog API maps products and product models, families, attributes with their locale and channel scopes, categories and asset families to the Unify Graph.

Why build Akeneo on Unify Int

  • One data model

Akeneo records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Akeneo. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Akeneo custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Akeneo connection, so support can see what happened.

Akeneo integration questions

Does Unify Int support Akeneo products and attributes?
Yes, in beta. The Unify Catalog API reads Akeneo products, product models, attributes, categories, assets and channels. Write-back for products, product models and categories is on the roadmap; it appears as Write on this page only once it is confirmed.
How do customers connect their Akeneo account?
Your customer creates a connection (or installs your app) in Akeneo and approves it in Unify Connect, which issues OAuth 2.0 credentials.
Is there a Akeneo sandbox for testing?
Yes. Akeneo SaaS customers have sandbox environments, and Akeneo offers trial instances for developers.
How often does Akeneo data sync?
Unify Sync combines Akeneo change notifications where the platform emits them with incremental polling elsewhere. You set the frequency per object, from a few minutes for transactional records to daily for reference data.
Can I access Akeneo custom fields?
Akeneo attributes are all customer-defined; Unify Int exposes them with their types, locales and channels alongside normalized core fields.
