Request Recurly

About the Recurly integration

Recurly is a subscription management and recurring billing platform for subscription brands and SaaS companies. The Unify Payments API reads its accounts, subscriptions, plans, invoices and transactions.

Recurly's v3 REST API uses private API keys per site, with webhooks for subscription, invoice and payment events. The Unify Payments API maps accounts, subscriptions, plans, invoices, credit invoices and transactions to the Unify Graph.

Why build Recurly on Unify Int

  • One data model

Recurly records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Recurly. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Recurly custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Recurly connection, so support can see what happened.

Recurly integration questions

Does Unify Int support Recurly subscriptions and invoices?
Recurly is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading customers, subscriptions, plans, invoices, payments and credit invoices, with write-back for customers and subscriptions to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Recurly account?
Your customer creates a private API key in Recurly and enters it with their subdomain in Unify Connect.
Is there a Recurly sandbox for testing?
Yes. Recurly offers sandbox sites for testing.
How often does Recurly data sync?
Unify Sync uses Recurly webhooks for change detection, so new and updated records usually arrive within minutes, with scheduled polling as a safety net. You can set the schedule per object.
Can I access Recurly custom fields?
Recurly custom fields on accounts, subscriptions and plans are returned with records and can be mapped per connection.
