About the Google Ads integration

Google Ads is Google's advertising platform for search, shopping, YouTube and display campaigns. The Unify Ads API reads its customers (accounts), campaigns, ad groups, ads and daily performance metrics.

The Google Ads API uses OAuth 2.0 plus a developer token, with GAQL queries for reporting and manager account (MCC) hierarchies. The Unify Ads API maps accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, conversions and daily metrics to the Unify Graph, joined to orders and SKUs where shopping campaigns allow.

Why build Google Ads on Unify Int

  • One data model

Google Ads records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Google Ads. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Google Ads custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Google Ads connection, so support can see what happened.

Google Ads integration questions

Does Unify Int support Google Ads campaigns and ads?
Google Ads is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, insights and conversions, with write-back for campaigns to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Google Ads account?
Your customer signs in with Google in Unify Connect and grants access to the Google Ads accounts (or manager account) you need.
Is there a Google Ads sandbox for testing?
Yes. Google Ads test accounts can be created under a test manager account.
How often does Google Ads data sync?
Google Ads does not emit webhooks for most objects, so Unify Sync polls incrementally on the schedule you set per object, typically every 15 minutes to daily, and sends you signed webhooks when records change.
Can I access Google Ads custom fields?
Custom conversion actions and labels are kept on records; any GAQL field is reachable through passthrough.
