About the Dynamics 365 Business Central integration

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is Microsoft's ERP for small and mid-sized businesses. The Unify ERP API covers its companies, accounts, customers, vendors, invoices, purchase orders and items.

Business Central exposes OData-based REST APIs (v2.0) authenticated with Microsoft Entra ID OAuth 2.0, and webhook subscriptions for change notifications. Unify Int maps companies, G/L accounts, dimensions, customers, vendors, sales and purchase documents and items to the Unify Graph.

Why build Dynamics 365 Business Central on Unify Int

  • One data model

Dynamics 365 Business Central records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Dynamics 365 Business Central. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Dynamics 365 Business Central custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Dynamics 365 Business Central connection, so support can see what happened.

Dynamics 365 Business Central integration questions

Does Unify Int support Dynamics 365 Business Central purchase invoices and sales invoices?
Dynamics 365 Business Central is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading companies, accounts, vendors, customers, purchase invoices, sales invoices, purchase orders, sales orders, journal entries and items, with write-back for vendors, customers and purchase invoices to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Dynamics 365 Business Central account?
Your customer signs in with their Microsoft Entra ID account in Unify Connect and consents to Business Central access, then selects the environment and company.
Is there a Dynamics 365 Business Central sandbox for testing?
Yes. Business Central supports sandbox environments that Unify Int can connect to separately from production.
How often does Dynamics 365 Business Central data sync?
Unify Sync combines Dynamics 365 Business Central change notifications where the platform emits them with incremental polling elsewhere. You set the frequency per object, from a few minutes for transactional records to daily for reference data.
Can I access Dynamics 365 Business Central custom fields?
Dimensions are first-class fields. Table extensions and custom fields exposed through custom APIs can be reached through passthrough and mapped per connection.
