About the Authorize.net integration

Authorize.net is a long-standing US payment gateway, owned by Visa, used by small and mid-sized merchants. The Unify Payments API reads its transactions, settled batches, refunds and customer profiles.

Authorize.net uses an API login ID and transaction key, with a Transaction Details API for settled batches and webhooks for transaction events. The Unify Payments API maps transactions, settled batches, refunds and customer profiles to the Unify Graph for reconciliation.

Why build Authorize.net on Unify Int

  • One data model

Authorize.net records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Authorize.net. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Authorize.net custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Authorize.net connection, so support can see what happened.

Authorize.net integration questions

Does Unify Int support Authorize.net transactions and refunds?
Authorize.net is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading transactions, refunds, settled batches and customer profiles, with write-back for refunds and customer profiles to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Authorize.net account?
Your customer generates an API login ID and transaction key in the Authorize.net Merchant Interface and enters them in Unify Connect.
Is there a Authorize.net sandbox for testing?
Yes. Authorize.net offers a free sandbox account for testing.
How often does Authorize.net data sync?
Unify Sync uses Authorize.net webhooks for change detection, so new and updated records usually arrive within minutes, with scheduled polling as a safety net. You can set the schedule per object.
Can I access Authorize.net custom fields?
Merchant-defined fields and invoice numbers on transactions are kept on each payment for matching.
