How it works
Once a warehouse holds clean, modeled data, such as customer health scores or lifetime value, reverse ETL syncs it to the systems teams work in. The tool maps warehouse columns to fields in each destination, runs on a schedule, and handles inserts, updates and the destination's rate limits. It turns the warehouse into a source for operations, not only for reports.
Example
A data team computes product-qualified leads in the warehouse and uses reverse ETL to update a lead score field in the CRM every hour.
In integrations
Reverse ETL works from your company's warehouse into your own tools. Unify Int works across your customers' systems, with each customer authorizing their own connection. If your product writes into customers' ledgers or storefronts, that is write-back through a unified API, not reverse ETL. The terms are often confused in buying conversations. Being clear about whose systems you connect, yours or your customers', points you to the right category of tool.
